About

Dr. Liebman is a Richmond native whose devotion to caring for cancer patients began years ago, after witnessing a family member’s struggle with cancer. She aims to treat the disease while also being attentive to her patients’ needs of mind and spirit. She empowers her patients to understand their diagnosis and to make informed treatment decisions accordingly. Her clinical interests span all aspects of radiation oncology, including innovative technology, brachytherapy, and cranial/ extracranial stereotactic radiosurgery/ radiotherapy.

She has been published in several Radiation Oncology journals, including the International Journal of Radiation Oncology Biology Physics, and has had podium presentations at the annual ASTRO (Radiation Oncology) meeting. She was awarded the Medical Scholars Endowment, the Susan J. Mellette Scholarship honoring the well-respected oncologist, and the Daniel Blain Woods Memorial Award, given to someone “exhibiting the qualities needed to be a good doctor- wisdom, passion, the desire to serve, the ability to analyze problems, integrity, and academic excellence.”

She is on the Radiation Therapy Advisory Committee, is the Cancer Liaison for the Cancer Committee at St. Mary’s, and is a member of the Breast Disease Management Team for Bon Secours. She also enjoys educating the community on cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment.

Her volunteer activities span many areas of Richmond. She is marketing co-chair for the Children’s Hope Gala Committee that supports Noah’s Children and Richmond Hope Therapy. She is on the Richmond SPCA Fur Ball Committee and the Arthritis Foundation Planning Committee. She and her husband, Spencer, are also supporters of Maymont, The Children’s Hospital, Virginia Home for Boys and Girls, The Children’s Museum, and The Hospice House.
