About Us

Radiation Oncology Associates is a physician group that offers cutting edge radiation therapy services for patients diagnosed with cancer. Our dedicated physician team has decades of experience, as well as clinical expertise in a wide variety of cancer types. Our comprehensive cancer treatment utilizes a multi-disciplinary approach coupled with the latest technology in radiation therapy to deliver the highest quality of care.

We offer radiation therapy at three Bon Secours facilities throughout the Richmond, Virginia area in addition to performing prostate brachytherapy and radioisotope therapy at Virginia Urology, Stony Point.

Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT)

IMRT allows for delivery of conformal radiation treatments to minimize damage to the surrounding healthy tissues and reduce treatment-related side effects.

HDR & LDR Brachytherapy

We offer HDR and LDR brachytherapy in which a radioactive source is temporarily or permanently placed within or adjacent to a malignant tumor. It can be used in the treatment of prostate, gynecologic, and skin cancers.

Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT)

SBRT uses highly-conformal and concentrated radiation treatments in order to conveniently deliver a treatment course over only a few sessions.

Radioisotope
Therapy

We offer radioisotope therapies such as Radium-223 (Xofigo®) and Lutetium-177 (Pluvicto®) for advanced prostate cancer patients.

Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS)

We utilize both Gamma Knife® and LINAC-based stereotactic radiosurgery in the treatment of benign and malignant brain tumors.

Selective Internal Radiation Therapy (SIRT)

SIRT is a minimally invasive procedure in which radioactive beads are injected into the liver to treat malignant tumors.
